SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
She does it all for her patients! Congrats to Amara Rivera, a patient care/transport technician from non-invasive cardiology, on being named our January BEE Award recipient. BEE stands for “Being Extraordinary Every day” and that’s a great description of Amara.
Her teammates say, “Amara goes above and beyond to care for our patients. Although Amara was hired as a transporter for the department, she does so much more. She learned how to start IVs to help echocardiograms get done faster and smoother. She also learned how to place holter monitors and event monitors to help our nurses. Amara makes patients comfortable while being transported through the hospital and as they arrive to their different destinations. She offers blankets, answers call lights, and whatever patients may need as they are getting their testing done. Amara is extraordinary every day!”
Thanks for all you do each day, Amara! You’re one more reason our patients know they can #TrustTheBest.
