SWEDISHAMERICAN HOSPITAL: SwedishAmerican Clinic in Southwest Rockford Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

Celebration

SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Jan. 15.

This week SwedishAmerican celebrates the one-year anniversary of its Riverwest Clinic, the healthcare organization’s first medical facility in southwest Rockford. Located at 815 Marchesano Drive, the $4.1 million clinic offers primary care, obstetrics, lab and imaging services. Nearly all providers and a number of staff are bilingual.

The clinic welcomed nearly 800 new patients in 2019 with its providers delivering 75 new babies. Clinic management said the facility is on pace with anticipated goals and above desired levels in some areas. As a result, they plan to add additional services including endocrinology.

“I’ve moved my own health care to Riverwest so I now have a solid circle of care,” said Rockford Alderwoman Venita Hervey, who represents the area on Rockford’s City Council. “Primary care at Riverwest is so close I can walk to appointments, hospital care is at nearby SwedishAmerican and highly specialized, research-based care is at UW-Madison. Riverwest also jumped right in to become an integral part of the community. We’ve partnered on several events, including the first annual Halloween “Trunk or Treat” co-sponsored by SwedishAmerican and Rockford Fire Department Station 3. I can’t wait to see what we will have to talk about for their 5th anniversary.”

The 8,000 square-foot clinic is located near Providence Baptist Church and Rockford Fire Department Station 3 in southwest Rockford.
