City of Rockford issued the following announcement on Feb. 13.
Mayor Tom McNamara announced today he is appointing Anqunette Parham as Executive Director of the Human Service Department for the City of Rockford.
Parham is an attorney with more than a decade of health care and human services experience in direct services, administration and risk management. Most recently, she served as Manager of International Trade Compliance for Collins Aerospace.
For the last 13 years, she has also owned a consulting company which organizes and executes health and social services programs. Parham serves on many community boards, including the Wabongo Leadership Council, SwedishAmerican Health System, and the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois. She holds a law degree from John Marshall Law School, a master’s in public health from Benedictine University and a bachelor’s in sociology from DePaul University.
Her appointment will go to City Council on Tuesday, February 18, and is also subject to approval by the Office of Head Start.
