Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Dr. Altaf Dawood to the Gastroenterology staff of Mercyhealth Physician Clinic–Riverside, 8201 E. Riverside Blvd., Rockford, and Mercyhealth Rockton Avenue, Bldg. 1, 2400 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford.
Dr. Dawood offers exceptional care to all his patients. “My philosophy of care is to treat my patients with dignity and compassion and to offer them excellent care. I work closely with my patients and involve them to actively manage their acute and chronic gastroenterological conditions.”
Dr. Dawood earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas where he served as chief resident. He then served a Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas, and an Interventional Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Dr. Dawood is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His special interests include:
