Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Jackson County?

There were 20 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Jackson County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rockford Sun.

The data shows that 17 men and three women were released in Jackson County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old woman sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 55-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Deaundre R. Wimberly. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2015 when he was 22 years old. He is now 27.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Jackson County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
