Illinois State House District 67 issued the following announcement on June 24
A new initiative to help Illinois families access and afford home energy assistance and other essential services during COVID-19 has been launched. The FY21 Budget authorizes authorizes an expansion of the LIHEAP and CSBG programs for eligible Illinoisans seeking emergency assistance to cover costs of utility bills, rent, temporary shelter, food, and other household necessities. If your gross income over the last 30 days is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, you may be eligible for these services.
