Analysis: South Beloit pays $4.03 for every $1 pensioners contribute to South Beloit Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.1 percent of the $380,039 the South Beloit Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.03 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, South Beloit contributed $304,520 to the fund, which saw a $15,743 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $75,519, or 19.9 percent, in 2018.
