Analysis: Rockton pays $2.72 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Rockton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.1 percent of the $426,912 the Rockton Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.72 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Rockton contributed $312,277 to the fund, which saw a $79,064 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $114,635, or 26.9 percent, in 2018.
