Analysis: Rockford pays $2.45 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Rockford Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71 percent of the $11,557,919 the Rockford Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.45 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Rockford contributed $8,208,018 to the fund, which saw a $1,089,699 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $3,349,195, or 29 percent, in 2018. Another $706 came from other unspecified sources.
