Analysis: Cherry Valley pays $3.30 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Cherry Valley FPD Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.3 percent of the $518,481 the Cherry Valley FPD Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.30 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Cherry Valley contributed $395,389 to the fund, which saw a $136,228 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $119,630, or 23.1 percent, in 2018. Another $3,462 came from other unspecified sources.
