SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on July 30.
U.S. News & World Report recognized SwedishAmerican as High Performing in four adult procedures and conditions and ranked the hospital No. 18 in the state of Illinois in this year’s Best Hospitals rankings.
Of the more than 4,500 hospitals evaluated in the nation, SwedishAmerican is one of 603 that earned at least three High Performing ratings, making it among an elite 13 percent of hospitals nation-wide that earned a spot in the U.S. News Best Hospitals 2021 guidebook.
SwedishAmerican earned High Performing scores in Cardiology & Heart Surgery – Heart Failure, Orthopedics – Hip Replacement, Orthopedics – Knee Replacement and Pulmonology & Lung Surgery – Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). In addition, SwedishAmerican’s state ranking of No. 18 was the highest ranking among all regional hospitals.
