1. 2020-138-R - Proposed Contract for Tax Increment Financing District consulting services with Kane, McKenna and Associates Inc., in the estimated amount of $34,500. The funding sources are the following TIFS: Amerock, West Side #2, South Rockford, West State/Kilburn, Kishwaukee/Harrison #1, Assisted Living and Kishwaukee/Harrison #2.

Alderman Rose, on behalf of the Planning and Development Committee, read in the resolution and placed it up for passage.

VI. OFFICER REPORTS

A. Alderman Hervey

Alderman Hervey commended Public Works Director Kyle Saunders, Jamie Rott and the entire Water Department for their quick response to a major water main break at Cunningham Street and Corbin Street early this morning. She reported the water main was repaired quickly and a Boil Order was issued as a precaution.

Alderman Hervey suggested the council members take a tour of the Water Department Cedar Street facility and the new pump houses on a fifth Monday so the aldermen can better understand and appreciate the city's water system.

B. Alderman Thompson-Kelly

Alderman Thompson-Kelly expressed her gratitude to Mayor McNamara, city staff and the council members for their participation during the Aldermen Public Listening Sessions. She mentioned the second phase would consist of round table discussions and she indicated more information about those would be released soon.

C. Alderman McNeely

Alderman McNeely thanked the Public Works Department for efficiently repairing the broken water main.

D. Alderman Hoffman

Alderman Hoffman announced the Rolling Green Neighborhood Association's next meeting would be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Broadway Covenant Church.

E. Alderman Rose

Alderman Rose announced the Northwest Neighbors Group would be hosting an outdoor community event on October 4, 2020 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. He encouraged residents to save the date on their calendars.

F. Alderman Tuneberg

Alderman Tuneberg expressed his appreciation to the Public Works Department for their assistance with numerous projects in the Third Ward.

VII. ADJOURNMENT

1. Motion to Adjourn

Alderman Rose moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Alderman McNeely.

MOTION PREVAILED with a unanimous roll call vote. The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
