SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.
SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome Dr. Jose Sanchez Gomez as the newest family physician at the Belvidere Clinic (1700 Henry Luckow Lane, Belvidere, IL).
Dr. Sanchez Gomez received his medical degree from Universidad Evangelica de El Salvador and completed his residency at UIC Rockford. Originally from San Salvador, Dr. Sanchez Gomez brings three years of practice experience to SwedishAmerican and has medical interests in Back Pain, Disease Prevention, Diabetes Management, Fitness/Exercise, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Geriatric Medicine, Pain Management, Patient Education, Pediatric Care, Preventive Medicine, Spiritual Health and Sports Medicine.
"I pursued a career in medicine because I always felt the need of helping others, and what better way of doing it than healing, not just physically, but also emotionally,” Dr. Sanchez Gomez said. “I like to treat my patients the way I would like to be treated. Every day is an opportunity to be better with ourselves and everyone else.”
