Recycle

City of Loves Park issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.

Rock River Disposal has notified the City of changes to the yard waste and recycling pick-up. This is a result staffing issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Curbside pick-up of yard waste and recycling will be done on alternating weeks, beginning this week, based on the following schedule:

October 16, 2020 - Recycling

October 23, 2020 - Yard Waste

October 30, 2020 - Recycling

November 6, 2020 - Yard Waste

Please only place these items for curbside pick-up based on this schedule. If needed, this schedule may be continued and the appropriate schedule will be posted.

Curbside garbage pick-up will continue as normal during this time frame.

The City has worked with Rock River Disposal to make sure that leaf vacuuming will start on October 19, 2020, as originally stated. A schedule of leaf vacuuming areas will be posted in the near future.

Please bear with us, and the staff at Rock River Disposal, during these uncertain times. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and we are hoping that normal service can be restored as soon as possible.
