The final City levy amount will be approximately $47,164,495.00. The Legal Director shall prepare the appropriate ordinance.

Alderman Ervins reported the Harvest Festival at Soar Assembly was a great success. He shared approximately 350 children attended the event.

B. Alderman Thompson-Kelly

Alderman Thompson-Kelly encouraged all citizens to go vote in the election tomorrow. C. Alderman Hoffman

Alderman Hoffman thanked Tim from Top Notch Foods for donating 1,000 boxes of food to the Rockford Housing Authority residents.

D. Alderman Rose

Alderman Rose thanked those who participated in Trick or Treating on Halloween for taking extra precautions and adhering to the social distancing guidelines.

E. Alderman McNeely

Alderman McNeely reported the Thirteenth Ward had an event on Saturday where hundreds of bags of food were given away to people in need and donated to the Rock River Valley Pantry.

F. Alderman Chiarelli

Alderman Chiarelli thanked city staff for their work on the resolution to reduce the Liquor License fees. He stated it would be a great help to restaurants and bars during this difficult time.

Alderman Chiarelli thanked city staff for once again keeping the levy flat and he thanked the council members for voting to pass it.

G. Mayor McNamara

Mayor McNamara wished Alderman Chiarelli good luck in the election tomorrow. IX. CLOSED SESSION

1. Motion to Convene into Closed Session in order to discuss Labor Negotiation matters

Alderman Hervey moved to convene into Closed Session in order to discuss labor negotiation matters, seconded by Alderman Rose. MOTION PREVAILED with a roll call vote. The meeting convened into Closed Session at 7:19 p.m.

Mayor McNamara called the meeting back into Open Session at 7:41 p.m. and the following aldermen were present: Durkee, Logemann, Tuneberg, Frost, Hervey, Ervins, Thompson-Kelly, Hoffman, Rose, Beach, Hanley, McNeely and Chiarelli (Alderman Quinonez was absent).
