SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.
Four Rockford students will have their art designs featured on SwedishAmerican bus benches and billboards around Rockford this winter.
SwedishAmerican held an art contest for Rockford middle and high school students in October. The designs were to promote social distancing, handwashing and wearing a mask to help combat COVID-19. All mediums were encouraged, and the winners will be featured on bus benches and billboards around the city.
The first-place prize went to Marin Carlini, a freshman at Rockford Christian High School. Other winners were Dylan Ho from Jefferson High School, Ella Roxworthy from Marshall Middle School, and Malina Rangel from Roosevelt High School.
