BOONE COUNTY FARM BUREAU: Community Endowment Grants Benefit Boone County

Boone County Farm Bureau issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.

Boone County groups have benefitted from grant awards from the Boone County Community Endowment Fund. Various projects in Boone County have received funding from the Endowment. In 2020, $153,235 was awarded to 35 County organizations.

Since 2005, $1,451,909 has been distributed in Boone County from this fund to 95 different recipients.

Examples of projects that were funded include: Battin Chapil Heritage Association, Iowa Gardening for Good food project, Community and Family Resources to improve accessibility, a radiology suite at Boone County Hospital and building improvements at the Madrid Historical Society. Other recipients include: the Y Camp, Madrid Historical Society, RSVP, Boy Scouts, Scenic Valley Railroad and Child Care Junction and The McGraw Senior Center.

Any 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, 107b unit of government, or potentially qualifying charitable organization operating in or for the benefit of Boone County is invited to pursue grantmaking objectives and obtain an application from Boone County Endowment Fund. The deadline for 2021 grant applications is February 5, 2021.
