Mercyhealth welcomes Dr. Shobashalini Chokkalingam to the physician staff of Mercyhealth Heart and Vascular Center–Riverside and Rockton, Rockford.
Dr. Chokkalingam offers compassionate, state-of-art heart care. She believes in increasing patient awareness and engagement in their care.
Her special interests include:
Coronary artery disease
Valvular heart disease and echocardiography
Heart failure
Women’s heart health
Community heart health awareness
After earning her medical degree at Madras Medical College, Madras, India, Dr. Chokkalingam served her residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, and Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship in Loma Linda University, Southern California. She is board certified in cardiology and echocardiography.
