STATELINE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: FNBT Announces Promotions

Stateline Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 20. 

First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce two officer promotions as approved at the recent board meeting.

Ruth Adams is being promoted to Assistant Controller and Officer. In this role, she will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities for the bank, including the month-end accounting process, financial reporting for the bank as well as regulatory reporting, and providing leadership to the accounting staff and other department managers. Adams joined FNBT in 2015 as a senior accountant. She graduated from Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Management and Leadership. Since then she has also completed the situational leadership course offered by FNBT. Adams resides in Janesville, Wisconsin with her husband, Jeff, their two sons, Conner and Nolan, and the family dog, Bucky. In her spare time, she acts as “mom’s taxi service” to her children and enjoys attending their sporting events. Adams is based at FNBT’s Operations Center in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Kelsey Hartz is being promoted to Senior Credit Analyst, Reporting Specialist and Officer. Hartz joined the bank in 2012 as a loan operations representative, later moving into the credit department as an assistant. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to Credit Analyst and has held increasing responsibilities in her nearly 10 years with FNBT. In her new role, Hartz will be responsible for assessing creditworthiness of commercial banking clients, implementing and adhering to the bank’s loan policy, and completing various monthly and quarterly reports for the board of directors. A graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, Hartz majored in International Business, Finance and Spanish. She lives in Rockton, Illinois with her husband, Alex, and children, Lillian and Theo. Hartz is based at FNBT’s Beloit-Grand Ave branch location.
