Village of Rockton Administration Committee Met Aug. 2.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order.
2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, Charles Hoselton, Jon Kinate, Bruce Weber, and Lynn Dameron. Gerald Hoffman and Bill Schmidgall were absent.

4. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda – Motion by Kinate, second by Hoselton to approve the following items on the Consent Agenda:
A. Minutes from the July 7, 2021, council meeting
B. Voucher Invoice Register listing the bills

→ Streets & Fire – Martin Steidinger, Superintendent & Fire Chief was absent
→ Sewer – Brad Duncan, Superintendent reported
• A lightning strike on June 24th fried some electrical components at the sewer plant; an insurance claim has been filed however, he would like to order the parts now and get going on replacing the parts. The Mayor authorized the purchase of the parts
→ Water – Mike Mellott, Superintendent – no report
→ Police – Robert McCormick, Chief – no report
→ City – Brett Ashburn, Superintendent reported
• The Cruise-In event needs 7 picnic tables
• Asked Nancy (Zoning Administrator) to provide an update on a nuisance property on W Cherry St – 409 W Cherry will be demolished in the near future
→ Legal – Steven Mann, City Attorney was absent

C. Consideration of an ordinance annexing 808 W Walnut Street, James Olson, into the City of Fairbury - TABLED
