Report: Shirland School District spent $14,481 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Shirland Community Consolidated School District 134 was up 29.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Rockford Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Winnebago County school district spent $11,167 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,481 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 122 to 98 students over the same period.

Shirland's spending in 2019-20 was 0.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
