II. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES

III. TRAFFIC REQUESTS

A. New Business

1. Request in the 2nd Ward, Peter Caton, 1211 Mayfair Place, to establish stop control at the intersection of Mayfair Place and Brendenwood Road.

With the approval of the commission members, both items on the agenda were discussed together. Mr. Peter Caton expressed his concern about these intersections. He commented that speeding is a problem and that much of the traffic seems to be using these roads as cut-throughs. K. Lin commented that traffic coming from the east on Guilford Road often continues to the west via Brendenwood Road and Mayfair Place. Other commission members commented that Verble Place is often used by those leaving Holy Family Church. K. Lin pointed out that there have been no accidents at either intersection and that while traffic is fairly light at both intersections, traffic at the Verble Place intersection is approximately half of the traffic at Mayfair Place. Several commission members pointed out that due to light traffic, yield or stop control would likely be disregarded. Commission recommended taking “No Action”. Motion by D. Ward, seconded by J. DoBran, Voted 11-0
