Lazcano Records 13 Saves in 2-0 Loss to Dominican

The Rockford University men's soccer team put together a strong defensive effort in the first half, but ultimately fell 2-0 in the second to Dominican University. Rockford was thoroughly out-shot 28-7, including 15-2 in shots on goal. The Regent's defense held strong in the first half, facing 11 of those shots and forcing goalkeeper Gustavo Lazcano to make 6 saves, leading to a season and career high total of 13 by the end of the match.

REGENT RECAP

  • Rockford faced 11 shots in the first half, with 6 on goal, all saved by Gustavo Lazcano. The Regents had three shots of their own, most notably Nolan Beard taking a shot on goal, forcing the goalkeeper to make the save.
