The Rockford University men's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 match against the Aurora Spartans on a cold Wednesday night at Wedgebury Stadium. The Spartans commanded the field for most of the game, earning a 23-5 advantage in the shots category, but Rockford had opportunities to score, including a header by Matt Polovin that required a great save by the goalkeeper in the first half. Aurora scored right away at the start of the second half, and that goal decided the game, giving Aurora the win at the final whistle 1-0.

- Matt Polovin recorded both shots on goal for the Regents in the first half, one a simple save and the second on a header in the 25th minute that forced a tough save by the Aurora goalkeeper to keep the gave even at 0-0.
- Aurora came rolling out to start the second half, building up a series of passes to get a great shot opportunity that was tapped past the Regents defense, and rolled into the back of the net to give Aurora the lead in the 46th minute.
- The Spartans clamped down on defense and held Rockford to one total shot in the second half, eventually concluding the match with a win 1-0.
