Region 1 Planning Council will provide an update on the large scale infrastructure investments headed to our region, including passenger rail, downtown Rockford’s first complete streets project, and overall transportation funding issues. R1 will provide brief updates and answer questions on housing, energy, community health and economic development strategies it is also working towards.
The mission of the Government Affairs Council is to advocate for a strong and healthy business environment through influencing of legislative, economic and social policy. The Government Affairs Council brings together sectors of the business community to serve as one voice for business. All advocacy efforts made by the Chamber's Government Affairs Council are founded on encouraging business growth, promoting a strong local economy and fostering a favorable business climate of Rockford, Illinois.
