Hot-Shooting Falcons Clip Regents
The Rockford University men's basketball team fell 90-79 on the road Saturday afternoon to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons. Rockford held a 52-50 advantage at the half, but scored just 27 points in the second half, allowing the Falcons to pull away late in the game. For the second consecutive NACC game, the Regents hot shooting cooled off over the final 20 minutes of play. Rockford shot 48.8% (20-of-41) from the floor and 47.4% (9-of-19) from three-point range in the first half, compared to only 39.3% (11-of-28) and 18.2% (2-of-11) in the second half. Conversely, the Falcons improved upon their 58.3%/22.2% shooting performances from the field/three-point line in the first half to 60.0%/45.5% efforts in the second half.
