The Rockford University men's basketball team never trailed in a convincing 72-52 road win over Dominican University. The key to Saturday's victory was the outstanding defensive effort by the Regents. Rockford held the Stars to a season-low 31.0% (18-58) shooting from the floor, including a measly 5.3% (1-19) performance from three-point range. Conversely, the Regents shot 47.7% and had four players score in double-figures, led by 16 points each from Micah Swanson and Charles Burnell. The win moves the Regents to 7-1 against the Stars in their last eight meetings.
