Illinois state Sen. Andrew Chesney (R-Freeport) shared his visit to the City of South Beloit in a recent Facebook post.
"Had a great meeting with officials from the City of South Beloit and Julie Uram from Nature At The Confluence," Chesney said in the post. "We had a productive discussion about their priority issues for 2023. Great people, doing great things! #SOUTHBELOIT"
Chesney has consistently reached out to his constituents to support their communities.
In late February, he attended the Lincoln Day Dinner in Carroll County.
"Proud to attend a packed house at the Carroll County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner," Chesney said in a February Facebook post. "Great people, solid NW Illinois values! #myhomecounty #native #NWIllinoisvalues"
The senator also recently attended a Friends of the NRA fundraiser on Mar. 5.
"Great to be with my friends at the Friends of the NRA fundraiser in Stephenson County," he said on Facebook. "The NRA Foundation has done a fantastic job advocating for responsible gun ownership and educating our next generation of gun owners."
Chesney previously served as representative of Illinois' 89th District, being elected in December 2018, his website biography said. In November 2022, he was elected to the state Senate for the 45th District. He has constantly been involved with his community from early on in his career, and he continues today. He has served as an elected member of the Freeport City Council and has been a past board member of the Regional Access Mobilization Project (RAMP)—an organization that provides support services and advocacy for people with disabilities.
