II. RESOLUTIONS
A. 2023-191-R - Approval of Extension for Head Start Bus Transportation Services to First Student, of Naperville, Illinois for an amount not-to-exceed $1,276,143.20. The original contract started in July 2022. The contract duration is from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. The funding source is Head Start Grant Funds.
Ald. Beach asked if the funding was for all of the drivers considering the shortage of bus drivers. Director Parham explained that the funding would be for the entire school year. Ald. Beach questioned the contract stating "not-to-exceed". Director Hagerty explained that there is a day route rate listed in the contract, but if they are not able to fulfill their obligation they would not be paid for services not provided.
