Village of Rockton Budget & Finance Committee met Oct. 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Winters called the regular meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee to order at 6:30 pm. Members present: Mayor Peterson, Scott Danielson, Jodi May, Michelle Prather and Dave Winters Staff present: Tricia Diduch, Chief Hollinger and Arianne Honkamp (6:36 pm)

Absent: Dennis Hildebrandt

Motion by Mr. Danielson, second by Ms. May, to waive the reading of and approve the minutes of October 3, 2023. All ayes. Motion approved 3-0.

PUBLIC COMMENT

None.

SPECIAL WARRANT CONSIDERATIONS

None.

RECOMMENDATION OF PAYMENT

Bills were reviewed and recommended for approval in the amount of $426,109.83.

MAYOR PETERSON

Mayor Peterson stated that he received an email from Mr. Hildebrandt in reference to the audit. Ms. Prather advised the Committee that she hasn’t heard anything from Sikich who is completing the audit for the Village.

VILLAGE TREASURER, DENNIS HILDEBRANDT

Mr. Winters stated that Mr. Hildebrandt emailed the cash needs report and that there are sufficient funds to pay the bills/payroll.

Mr. Winters stated that Mr. Hildebrandt canceled Wholesale Payments who processes the credit card payments for the pool. Ms. Prather advised that Payment Service Network (PSN) offers a credit card payment system as well and that she will let Mr. Self know that Wholesale Payments has been canceled.

DAVE WINTERS, CHAIRMAN

Mr. Winters discussed the IMLRMA renewal with the Committee. Ms. Prather stated that the Village typically does the Min/Max and that this seems to be the way to go. Ms. Prather added that the Village has paid the invoice in two installments, but that the Village could save $2,957 if the invoice was paid in one installment. The Committee advised that they would like to keep doing the Min/Max and to still do the two installments. The Village Clerk stated that she will have the ordinance ready for approval at the next Village Board meeting in November for the IMLRMA renewal.

JODI MAY, TRUSTEE

None.

SCOTT DANIELSON, TRUSTEE

Mr. Danielson stated that he would like to see completed financial statements for the Village and that he is disappointed that he hasn’t seen any for the last several months.

VILLAGE COLLECTOR, MICHELE PRATHER

None.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS ALLOWED BY LAW

None.

ADJOURN

Motion by Mr. Danielson, second by Ms. May, to adjourn at 6:39 pm.
