City of Carlyle Finance Committee met Oct. 23.

Call to Order/Roll Call
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeremy Weh on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Chairman Jeremy Weh, John Hodapp, and Jeff Taylor. Others present included Tammy Peters, Jim McClaren, Mike Jansen, Scott Diekemper, Bruce Hilmes, Bo Thomas from Glass and Shuffett, Mayor Judy Smith, Brad Myers (via phone), and Rita Jurgensmeyer.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Alderman John Hodapp and seconded by Alderman Jeff Taylor to approve the minutes from the September 25, and October 9, 2023, meetings. The motion was approved by voice vote.
Approval of Claims
Alderman John Hodapp made a motion to approve the claims. Alderman Jeff Taylor seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.
Recommend Payment of Accrued Benefits to Dismissed Employee
Alderman Jeremy Weh made a motion to continue agenda item 2.1 Recommend payment of accrued benefits to dismissed employee. Alderman John Hodapp seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.
Receive City of Carlyle Audit Report from Glass and Shuffet, Ltd
Bo Thomas from Glass and Shuffett presented and explained the FY23 audit report. He told the council that the city is doing well financially. Alderman John Hodapp made a motion to send the FY23 audit to the city council. Alderman Jeff Taylor seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.

At 6:51 p.m. a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman John Hodapp. The motion was seconded by Alderman Jeff Taylor and was approved by voice vote.
