Winners have been selected for the annual 69th District Photo Challenge Contest sponsored by State Representative Joe Sosnowski, R-Rockford. The contest, which provides an opportunity for Northern Illinois residents to showcase their photography skills, received numerous submissions this year.

The contest, which began in September, required participants to submit their entries by the Friday before Thanksgiving. Photos capturing nature, architecture, or daily life in Illinois' 69th District were accepted.

The winners of this year's contest have been announced. William Villont of Belvidere submitted the captivating photograph titled "Sunset Barn in Boone County." Additionally, Mark Adamany of Loves Park impressed the judges with his two submissions, "Sunflowers in Richmond" and "Railroad Bridge at Sunset."

Representative Sosnowski expressed his appreciation for the participants and their remarkable snapshots. He stated, "Each year more and more people submit remarkable snapshots of the natural beauty that makes living and exploring here in Illinois so unique." He also extended his gratitude to all the participants for sharing their passion for photography and talents with the community.

The winning photographs will be framed and displayed alongside previous year's winners in Representative Sosnowski's office at the Capitol Complex in Springfield. Visitors and guests at the State Capitol will have the opportunity to admire the exceptional talent showcased in these photos throughout the coming year.
