City of Rockford Conducts Water Service Line Study to Identify Lead Service Lines

The City of Rockford Public Works Water Division is currently conducting a water service line inventory study to gather information about the materials of water service lines throughout the city. The purpose of this study is to accurately identify the locations of lead service lines so that targeted removal efforts can be implemented in order to meet EPA regulations.

In an effort to obtain accurate data, the Water Division is seeking the community's help. Residents are encouraged to complete a survey and inventory their service line material using the provided link. This information will be crucial in determining where removal efforts should be focused.
