Village of Rockton Budget & Finance Committee met Jan. 16.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Chairman Winters called the regular meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee to order at 6:30 pm. Members present: Mayor Peterson, Sally Bennett, Scott Danielson, Michelle Prather and Dave Winters Staff present: Tricia Diduch & Deputy Chief Jobst
Absent: Jodi May
Motion by Mr. Danielson, second by Mr. Winters, to waive the reading of and approve the minutes of January 3, 2024. All ayes. Motion approved 2-0.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
SPECIAL WARRANT CONSIDERATIONS
None.
RECOMMENDATION OF PAYMENT
Bills were reviewed and recommended for approval in the amount of $155,811.32.
MAYOR PETERSON
Mayor Peterson stated that he would like Mr. York to talk to Garcea about their billing.
VILLAGE TREASURER, SALLY BENNETT
None.
DAVE WINTERS, CHAIRMAN
Mr. Winters advised the Committee that he sat down with Mr. Self and went over the Parks/Rec budget. Mr. Winters said that he would like the department heads to actually go over on their line items so that we have the information to budget appropriately for the following year. Mr. Winters said that he would also like Mr. York to get some categories for the IT budget.
JODI MAY, TRUSTEE
None.
SCOTT DANIELSON, TRUSTEE
Mr. Danielson inquired about department 91 and what it was because it hasn’t been spent. Ms. Diduch said that she believed that was for public works projects from the ARPA funds.
VILLAGE COLLECTOR, MICHELE PRATHER
None.
