Rep. Joe Sosnowski extended a warm welcome to Amy Nord, Executive Director of the Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce, and Pamela Lopez-Fettes, Executive Director of Growth Dimensions – Economic Development Belvidere & Boone County, IL. The two women were invited as guests to the Emerging Women Leaders Conference in Springfield, hosted by House Minority Leader Tony McCombie.
The event saw the attendees enjoying a brunch, being acknowledged in the House Chamber during the session, taking a tour of the Capitol, and having the opportunity to listen to women leaders in the state government. Among the notable speakers were Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton and Illinois Supreme Court Justice Lisa Holder White.
