The Illinois State Police suffered two Move Over Law-related crashes this week. In 2024, ISP has already suffered 14 Move Over Law-related crashes with six troopers injured. Our state’s Move Over Law, also known as “Scott’s Law,” requires all drivers to SLOW DOWN and MOVE OVER when approaching an emergency vehicle, or any vehicle with its emergency or hazard lights activated. We can all do our part to protect first responders, road workers, and our fellow motorists by following this life-saving law.
