City of Carlyle Street and Alley Committee met April 8.

Call to Order/Roll Call
The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Hodapp on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included John Hodapp, Bruce Hilmes, and Scott Diekemper. Others present included Jeremy Weh, Jim McClaren, Tammy Peters, Mike Jansen, Mike Meskil, Brad Myers, Mayor Judy Smith, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.
Approval of Minutes
After reviewing the minutes from the March 25, 2024, meeting, Bruce Hilmes made a motion to approve the minutes. Scott Diekemper seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.
FY 25 MFT
Brad reviewed the proposed MFT budget resolution with the committee. It was prepared by Doug Ratermann from HMG. Doug is proposing that $200,000.00 be budgeted for MFT for FY 25. John Hodapp made a motion to send the MFT budget resolution to Council. Bruce Hilmes seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor. A discussion was held on future oiling and chipping plans and soliciting bids for slag for this coming oiling and chipping.
Unfinished Business
Brad stated that the new street sweeper has helped with cleaning excess rock off the streets. John stated that the intersections on the south side of town need to have excess rock removed.
New Business
A discussion was held on cleaning out ditches on County Farm Road and on Jefferson Street.

Adjournment
With no further business to discuss, Scott Diekemper made a motion to adjourn. Bruce Hilmes seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting adjourned at 5:41 p.m.
