Illinois adds .410 shot shells to acceptable turkey shot sizes

Starting next year, thanks to a bill signed by Governor J.B. Pritzker, .410 shot shells will be added to the list of acceptable turkey shot sizes in Illinois. The change is a significant development for hunting groups as it opens up hunting opportunities for youth, the elderly, the disabled, and anyone who prefers lower recoil.
