A quorum was established at 11:25 am. 

II. GENERAL INFORMATION 

a. All staff meeting scheduled for August 23, 2024 for all Health & Human Services Staff.

b. Changes to CAA board members standing to 9 members, have been approved. Still awaiting for the governor’s signature. Will need to update the bylaws. Per the bylaws, governance is split between public, private, and client. With the reduction of the board size, the number of public board members may be reduced.

c. We need to update the strategic planning and mission statement. Looking at potential support from the state. The last time the strategic planning sessions was done was 2012.

d. Board members will have training at a date that is to be determined.

e. Illinois State Governor has not made an emergency declaration for the floods experienced in the Rockford region. Health and Human Services has received numerous calls regarding damage from the storm and floods. Without an emergency declaration, Health and Human Services is limited by program guidelines.
