Area residents are invited to participate in the annual 69th District Photo Challenge, hosted each autumn by State Representative Joe Sosnowski, R-Rockford. The challenge encourages nature lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and community photographers to submit their best photos.
“Our photo challenge is a way to celebrate life and nature in our region of the state and recognize the talents of local residents who have a passion for photography,” said Representative Sosnowski. “Each year more and more people submit remarkable snapshots of what makes living and exploring here so exceptional. Grab a cup of your favorite pumpkin-spiced beverage and start taking photos that capture the look and feel of Fall in northern Illinois.”
The subject of each photograph must be within McHenry County, Boone County, or Winnebago County. The submission deadline is November 15, 2024, with a limit of two entries per person. Three winners will be selected to have their photographs displayed at Representative Sosnowski’s office at the State Capitol in Springfield in 2025 and receive a $50 Visa gift card.
For questions or additional information, interested individuals can contact the district office at 815-547-3436. Representative Sosnowski serves the 69th District, which includes portions of McHenry, Boone, and Winnebago Counties.
