Area residents looking to dispose of documents securely and environmentally can participate in a free Community Shred Event on Saturday, Oct. 5. The event will take place at the Jewel-Osco parking lot across from Sun City, located at 13200 Village Green Drive in Huntley.
The event is hosted by State Rep. Joe Sosnowski (R-Rockford), State Sen. Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley), and State Rep. Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore). It is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Participants are reminded that this event is strictly for document shredding, with a limit of three boxes per resident. Electronics will not be accepted.
