State Senator Dave Syverson and State Representative Joe Sosnowski are collaborating with the Illinois Tollway to organize two events aimed at assisting motorists in updating their I-PASS technology. These events will take place on October 17 in Rockford and October 22 in Cherry Valley.

The first event is scheduled for October 17, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at The Rockford Christian School Performing Arts and Training Center, located at 1401 North Bell School Road in Rockford. The second event will occur on October 22, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Village Hall, situated at 806 E. State Street in Cherry Valley.

Participants attending these I-PASS ON DEMAND events are reminded to bring their driver’s licenses and license plate numbers for presentation to Illinois Tollway officials. They should also be prepared for potential wait times.

Illinois Tollway officials will assist attendees in transitioning to the new sticker technology without disrupting their I-PASS account activity. Officials will also address any questions related to I-PASS accounts and "Pay by Plate" issues.

The new Sticker Tag can be used on the Illinois Tollway and E-Z Pass roadways in other states within 24 hours of activation. There is no deposit required for the Sticker Tag, and the $10 transponder deposit will transfer to the current account upon activation.

For further information about these events, individuals can contact Senator Syverson’s office at (815) 987-7555.
