City of Carlyle Employee Concerns Committee met Oct. 29.

Call to Order/Roll Call
The Employee Concerns Committee meeting was called to order by Employee Concerns Committee Chairman on October 29, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, Illinois 62231.Committee members present were Employee Concerns Committee Chairman Jim McClaren, committee members Aldermen Tammy Peters, and Bruce Hilmes. Others present were City Administrator Brad Myers, City Clerk Rita Jurgensmeyer, Aldermen Scott Diekemper, Mike Jansen, Jeff Taylor, and Labor Attorney Jim DeFranco (via facetime).
Approval of Minutes
Employee Concerns Chairman Jim McClaren said that there was a mistake on the minutes from October 16, 2024. He said according to the minutes the executive session started at 5:31 p.m. and they came out at 5:04 p.m. He said that it was probably meant to say 6:04 p.m. City Clerk Rita Jurgensmeyer said she would make the correction. Alderman Bruce Hilmes made a motion to approve the minutes from the Employee Concerns Committee meeting on October 16, 2024, with the correction. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tammy Peters and approved by voice vote.

Executive Session
At 6:02 p.m. a motion by Alderman Bruce Hilmes to go into executive session to discuss 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2) Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tammy Peters and was approved by voice vote.
At 7:36 p.m. the committee returned to regular session.

At 7:36 p.m. a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Bruce Hilmes. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tammy Peters and was approved by voice vote.
