State Representative John Cabello (il) | Representative John M. Cabello (R) 90th District Assistant Republican Leader
State Representative John M. Cabello has been reappointed to his role as an Assistant House Republican Leader in the 104th General Assembly by House Republican Leader Tony McCombie. Cabello, who represents Illinois' 90th House District, expressed his commitment to addressing issues such as high taxes, corruption, and crime.
“I am honored to continue fighting on behalf of Illinoisans who have been let down by decades of failed Democrat policies,” said Cabello. He emphasized the need for "commonsense, Republican solutions" to improve the state's trajectory.
Cabello is a veteran of the Rockford Police Department with nearly three decades of service and is one of only three active law enforcement officers serving in the state legislature. His legislative focus includes reducing crime, supporting law enforcement, cutting taxes, and eliminating wasteful spending.
“Representative Cabello’s experience as a law enforcement officer adds great value to our caucus,” stated Leader Tony McCombie. She highlighted his insights into public safety and reform as crucial elements for her leadership team.
