State Representative Joe Sosnowski from Rockford has expressed concerns over Governor JB Pritzker's recent public statements regarding public safety and law enforcement cooperation. In his statement, Sosnowski criticized the Governor for not allowing state and local law enforcement to collaborate with federal agencies in removing criminal illegal aliens from Illinois communities. He emphasized that this includes individuals involved in serious crimes such as murder and rape.

Sosnowski also pointed out that Governor Pritzker should prioritize addressing Illinois' $3.2 billion budget deficit, which he attributes partly to the Governor's policies. He urged a focus on tackling corruption within state government, especially with the trial of former Speaker Michael Madigan approaching jury deliberations. Additionally, Sosnowski highlighted the need for property tax relief for families in Illinois.

The representative further accused Governor Pritzker of making partisan attacks by criticizing federal law enforcement officers' efforts to deport non-citizens with criminal records. According to Sosnowski, the Governor pledged to "stand in their way" during recent interviews.

Sosnowski also addressed claims made by Pritzker about Elon Musk allegedly making a Nazi salute at President Trump's inauguration rally, labeling them as "uneducated and debunked." He argued that such statements only serve to divide Americans instead of focusing on pressing issues like reducing living costs and enhancing neighborhood safety.

Representative Joe Sosnowski represents the 69th District, covering parts of Winnebago, Boone, and McHenry Counties.
