Today in Springfield, a tribute was paid to Jane Addams by Representative Cabello in recognition of Women's History Month. Addams, born in Cedarville, Illinois, is celebrated for her pioneering work and dedication to community service.

Her efforts at Hull House in Chicago were transformative, impacting communities and setting the stage for nationwide reform. Her achievements earned her the honor of being the first woman awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

"Jane Addams left a legacy of compassion, service, and advocacy that continues to inspire us today," said Rep. Cabello. He encouraged others to remember her contributions and aspire to emulate her leadership and commitment to serving others.

"Please join me in remembering her contributions and strive to follow her example of leadership and dedication to others," he added.

The commemoration highlights the enduring influence of Addams' work as part of Women's History Month celebrations.
