City of Carlyle Police Committee met March 10.

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bruce Hilmes on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 5:45 p.m. at Case Halstead Library. Committee members present included Bruce Hilmes and Scott Diekemper. Jeremy Weh was absent. Others present included Les Boatright, Mandy Boatright, Tammy Peters, Jim McClaren, John Hodapp, Mike Jansen, Rita Jurgensmeyer, Chief Mark Pingsterhaus, Brad Myers, Mayor Judy Smith, and Martha Reinkensmeyer. 

Approval of Minutes

After reviewing the minutes from February 10, 2025, Scott Diekemper made a motion to approve the minutes. Bruce Hilmes seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Open Bids for the Police Addition

Chief Pingsterhaus stated that two bids were received. Both bids met the minimum requirements. JT Build bid $142,596.00., Boatright Built LLC bid $109,300.00. Chief explained that the bid proposal did not include electric because the electric department will do the wiring. After a brief discussion, Scott Diekemper made a motion to send the bid from Boatright Built LLC for $109,300.00 to the Finance Committee. Bruce Hilmes seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor. 

Unfinished Business

Chief Pingsterhaus stated that the fish fry for the K9 program will be held on Good Friday and that the DARE golf scramble will be held on May 2nd. The parking spaces at US Bank were discussed. 

New Business

There was no new business.

There were no any other comments.

There were no public comments. 

Executive Session

The committee did not enter executive session. 

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, Scott Diekemper made a motion to adjourn. Bruce Hilmes seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting adjourned at 5:57 p.m.
