1. Request for an amendment to the City of Rockford Code of Ordinance (Division 8, Section 2 of Chapter 2, Article VI) changing Information Technology Department to Department of Information, Technology and Integration with a Director known as Chief Integration Officer
2. Request for a Proposed Amendment to the City of Rockford Ordinance Section 3- 119 for Hookah Lounges to modify the hours of BYOB
3. 5866, 5884, and 5936 Columbia Parkway
Zoning Board of Appeals recommends approval for a Special Use Permit for residential self-storage warehouses in a C-3, General Commercial Zoning District at 5866, 5884, and 5936 Columbia Parkway (Barefoot Land Company/Applicant)
III. RESOLUTIONS
1. 4th of July Celebration
This event is scheduled to take place on July 4th from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. in downtown Rockford. The parade will begin at 4:45 p.m. The firework display will begin at 9:30 p.m. The parade route will be as follows:
7th Street and 2nd Avenue ending at State Street/Church Street. The firework display will be launched from the Jefferson Street Bridge.
2. National Night Out
This event is scheduled to take place on August 5th from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The event will take place in downtown Rockford, specifically:
On Water Street between East State Street and Short Jefferson; Market Street between Water Street and the railroad tracks; City Market Pavilion.
3. Committee recommends approval for the authorization to allow the Zoning Officer to file a Text Amendment to amend Zoning Ordinance 55-001-C to regulate Hedges.
