City of Rockford City Council met April 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. Call to Order- 6:30 pm

Pledge of Allegiance- No Motion

2. Roll Call - Present - Wise, Crawford, Conway, Parker, Feinstein, Lidy

Absent - Zuniga

3. Good News- No Motion

4. Guests and Visitors- No Motion

- Adopt a pilot with Southwest Airlines pilot Mr. Ashley Higar was present-aviation themed project, local competition (Trojan 1) was won by student Andrea Rebong. Andrea was present and spoke about her design.

5. Consent Agenda - Motion by Crawford and seconded by Lidy to approve the consent agenda as presented. Vote 6-0 in favor

6. New Business

a. Recommendation to approve bids for the concession stand and entryway refresh

Motion by Crawford, Seconded by Feinstein to approve bids for the concession stand and entryway refresh

Roll Call Vote - Motion Carried 6-0 in favor.

b. Transportation Audit - Informational

c. Special Board Meeting for reorganizational- Informational (1st @ 5:30)

d. Motion to approve the consolidated district plan FY 26 - Action

Motion by Lidy, seconded by Feinstein to approve the consolidated district plan Roll Call Vote - Motion Carried 6-0 Vote

e. Educational Leadership Solutions: motion to enter into an agreement with Educational Leadership Solutions for strategic planning starting in the 25-26 school year - Action

Motion by Conway, Seconded by Wise to enter into an agreement with Educational Leadership Solutions for $19,500.

Roll Cal Vote - Motion Carried 6-0

f. Staffing for the 25-26 school year. Posting for an additional special education position at the HS - Action

Motion by Feinstein, seconded by Conway to approve posting for an additional special education position at the HS - all in favor, motion carried

b. IASB Liaison Report - Jill Feinstein - No Motion

8. Executive Session

Motion by Crawford seconded by Lidy to enter into closed session at 7:47 pm, for possible litigation, appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, dismissal or performance of specific employees of the public body, Section 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) Vote 6-0 in favor.

Motion by Lidy seconded by Feinstein to exit closed session at 8:26 pm. Vote 6-0 in favor.

10. Adjournment - Motion by Lidy and seconded by Conway to adjourn at 8:29 pm. All in Favor. Motion Carried
