City of Carlyle Employee Concerns Committee met June 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jim McClaren on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Jim McClaren, Bruce Hilmes, and Tammy Peters. Others present were Brad Myers, Rita Jurgensmeyer, Brandon Pieron, Ryan Drake, Matt Blankenship, Darrell Jett, and Mike Young. 

Approval of Minutes

Alderman Bruce Hilmes made a motion to approve the minutes from the Employee Concerns Committee meeting on May 27, 2025. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tammy Peters, and it was approved by voice vote.

 Public Comments

There were no public comments.

 Executive Session

At 6:01 p.m. Alderman Bruce Hilmes made a motion to go into executive session to discuss 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity and  5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2) Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. Alderman Tammy Peters seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote. At 7:05 p.m. the committee returned to open session.

 Adjournment

At 7:05 p.m. Alderman Bruce Hilmes made a motion to adjourn, Alderman Tammy Peters seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.
